  • When is Eid Ul-Fitr?

The festival of Eid al-Fitr, the festival of fasting Iftar, is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims around the world on the eve of the end of Ramadan, which is the holy month of Islam. The holiday of Ramadan celebrates the end of 29 or 30 days from sunrise to sunset throughout the month of Ramadan.

  • Traditions of Eid-ul-Fitr 

'Fasting', which involves fasting during the holy month of Ramadan Traditionally, this is one of the five pillars of Islam. Muslims believe that the Quran was revealed in the month of Ramadan.

 In Arabic, Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr with prayers called "Eid al-Fitr." There is no audible call for Eid prayers. Muslims will gather in mosques or open spaces and offer two units of prayer. After the prayers, a sermon is delivered, in which the Imam prays for forgiveness, mercy, and peace for everyone around the world.

 Other important elements of Eid happiness are giving money to the poor (known as "Zakat Eid Eid-ul-Fitr"), sending Eid greetings and celebrating Eid with family.

 The first Eid al-Fitr was celebrated in 624 AD by the Prophet of Islam Muhammad and his companions after the victory of the Battle of Badr. This is a turning point in Muhammad's struggle. Islam's Eid al-Fitr can also be called 'at least the Eid of Bairam', Bairam is the Turkish word for holiday.
